Eller Family Business

The Eller family business in Deerfield extends back to 1926 when Hoyt Eller opened a machine and welding shop on Dixie Highway. In 1937 at age 21 Marlin Eller bought his dad’s shop for $500. He soon began manufacturing farm equipment including simple irrigation pumps.

David Eller join the business in 1964 after graduating from The University of Florida. One of his first major inventions was the Hydraflo pump and set the industry standard. He now holds patents on over 40 products.

David’s 3 children have joined the company and it has continued to grow. Today it is an international company that includes a rental division and remains in the forefront of pump technology.
